Continuing the education of young artists, the Latvian National Opera has joined the European Network of Opera Academies (enoa) . Within the programme, the LNO will organise two workshops this season that will be held in Riga from 22 September to 1 October, and from  June 3 to 10.

Young singers from Latvia and other European countries will polish their vocal techniques, acting and stage movement under the supervision of LNO director Andrejs Žagars and vocal teachers Anita Garanča, Axel Everaert and Dmitry Vdovin.

ENOA’s aim is to train young professionals (singers, composers, stage directors, librettists, conductors, and pianists) and help bridge the gap between studies and professional work. enoa has launched its workshops programme targeting young artists in 2010, and since then 11 organisations working in the field of opera have joined it.
