Education Program

The Latvian National Opera’s Education Program is offering big and small viewers alike the chance to learn more about how operas are produced. To better understand how our large-scale, majestic productions are created, and to see how much work and patience must be invested by everyone, the opera’s Education Program lets opera lovers stage their own opera fairy tales. Opera lovers won’t merely sit in the audience, patiently watching a performance. They’ll get the opportunity to actually participate in its creation. Each participant will have the chance to become an opera artist, a musician, and a set designer, and will dress up in colorful opera costumes, which will transform them beyond recognition.
